Questions you probably have

Everything a school might ask before they get started.

Straight answers on how Tech Plan Genie works, what it costs, and what your leadership team walks away with. Can’t find yours? We’re a quick email away.

01

What is Tech Plan Genie?

A planning platform built for K–12 schools. It walks your leadership team through a structured process and turns your inputs into a board-ready technology plan, mapped to your goals, your budget and your community. Built by a former school Tech Director, so it speaks the language your board already uses.

02

What does the AI Tech Genie actually do?

It does the heavy lifting, not the thinking. You and your team supply the goals, priorities and constraints through the modules. The AI structures all of that into a clear, written plan you can hand to a board the same day. You stay in control of every decision. It just saves you the weeks you’d normally spend writing and formatting.

03

How does it work?

Your lead names a small planning task force, then works through a set of guided modules covering vision, infrastructure, cybersecurity, PD, classroom use and more. Once the inputs are in, the platform generates your plan. From there you review, edit and share.

04

How long does it take to produce a Tech Plan?

The plan generates in seconds once your inputs are complete. Getting the inputs in is up to your team. Some finish in a couple of weeks, others spread it across a semester. Either way, you’re not starting from a blank page.

05

Is the plan really board-ready, or is it a template?

Board-ready. It’s not fill-in-the-blanks. The plan is built from your own answers, written in full, and structured the way boards and accreditors expect to see it. Take it into a meeting as-is, or tweak it first.

06

Can we edit the plan once it’s generated?

Yes. It’s fully editable, so you can revise goals, adjust priorities and update it as the year moves. A working document, not a one-off PDF that sits in a drawer.

07

How long does a plan last, and can we track progress?

Each plan is built to guide one academic year, with a four-stage implementation roadmap and milestone checkpoints along the way. At year end you generate an End-of-Year Report showing progress, challenges and wins, then build your next plan on what you learned.

08

What about accreditation reporting?

The plan is structured to support accreditation and board reporting. Because everything is documented as you go, the evidence you need is already there when the review comes around.

09

Do we keep our data?

Yes. The plan and the data behind it belong to your school.

10

What does it cost?

$999 per school, per year for the platform. That’s the flat rate, no PO required. If you want hands-on help, the remote and on-site support levels start from there and are priced by what you need. Multi-year options are available, and we offer discounts for resource-challenged schools, so if budget is tight, ask.
